Joel is still holding his heart rate down. yeaaaaaa!!!! Just trying to find something to stir up the appetite. The heart dr. told me to go get whatever he wanted to eat and drink (no caffeine), and he could start the heart healthy diet once he started wanting to eat. Joel decided a What-a-burger Jr. and a strawberry milkshake would be perfect. I went and got it. He didn't eat it. SAD!!!! Hopefully, something will kick the ol' taste buds in. He's tucked in for the night (they say) and the vitals are looking pretty good.
My brother isn't going to be so fortunate. He had the heart cath.today and found that he has all kinds of problems and will be facing a 5 bypass surgery this coming Tues. The very same team of drs. will be working on him. He has three 100% blockages, one 90 % and one 60%. The heart has made lead off veins to try and stay alive. WONDERS!!! They have sent him home tonight and he will come back in Tues. morning. He has a lot of other health issues that are going to really complicate things. His name is Bill Spence. Please add him to any and all prayer chains.
Thanks for letting me "vent" and whine a bit. Seeing others around us here make us realize that we really are blessed and need not to be so whiney!
